You may already know that dopamine and serotonin, often referred to as ‘pleasure hormones’, make us feel GREAT. They flood our brains with upbeat, happy feelings when we experience a positive trigger (say, a wonderful kiss, brunch with our friends, a favorite song, or a great party), leaving us feeling bathed in a radiant, happy glow.
But what you might not know is this. A cool evolutionary quirk of ours is that simply anticipating a fun event can boost dopamine levels even higher than the event itself! That’s why we always recommend booking in a little treat for yourself at the end of each workday – such as a Netflix-and-chill session, or a pampering session at our welcoming Boca Raton offices.

But here’s the problem. During these lockdown-heavy times, the social events that usually put a smile on our faces – lunch with girlfriends, a trip to the movies, a festival or family get-togethers – seem more and more infrequent or inaccessible.
